Acupuncture dose

Many people try acupuncture once or twice and decide it “didn’t work.”But here’s the truth: just like exercise or medication, acupuncture has a therapeutic dose — a rhythm and duration that allows your body to truly recalibrate.

If you only test the waters once, you may feel relaxed but not yet see lasting change. When we work consistently, acupuncture becomes medicine — stimulating your body’s own electrical and biochemical repair systems over time.

🩹 Acute vs. Chronic Conditions: The Difference in Healing Pace

If your issue is acute — a recent strain, tension headache, or stress flare-up — your body’s energy channels respond faster.

  • Recommended: 1 treatment per week for 3–4 sessions

  • Often results in a noticeable change in pain, range of motion, or stress level within that period

If your concern is chronic — long-term pain, hormonal imbalance, fatigue, or nervous system dysregulation — the body’s “wiring” needs more time to rebuild.

  • Recommended: Weekly or biweekly for 4–6 weeks, then tapering to monthly maintenance

  • Think of it as physical therapy for your body’s electrical network: steady current, consistent input

⚡ Acupuncture and the Electric Body

At Electric Body Acupuncture in Toronto, we see the human body as an intelligent electrical field — a living network of energy and communication.Acupuncture needles act like tiny tuning forks, helping your body’s internal currents re-synchronize.

When you stay consistent with treatment, those circuits stay open long enough to create real structural and chemical change — lowering inflammation, improving blood flow, balancing hormones, and calming the nervous system.
