Insomna

10 years experience of cupping countless clients & we've learned of a benefit that acupuncture school never taught us:

Fire Cupping Promotes Deep Sleep!

Our fire cupping protocol for improved sleep is one of our signature treatments that has proven itself time and time again. Our intentional , soothing flow activates important Back Shu acupuncture points, releases tight muscles, reorders dysfunctional fascia and engages your parasympathetic nervous system (think rest & digest) for the ultimate relaxing effect for deep sleep.

How does fire cupping promote better sleep?

TCM Framing: In TCM theory, cupping helps ‘move stagnation of Qi and Blood,’ especially in the upper back and neck, which can calm the Shen (spirit) and restore balance to the internal organs that regulate sleep.

Physiological Framing: From a biomedical perspective, cupping increases blood flow, stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, and may reduce tension – all of which help the body enter a more relaxed state conducive to sleep.

Clinical Relevance: While most TCM research on sleep focuses on acupuncture, emerging network meta-analyses suggest cupping can also meaningfully improve sleep quality, particularly in populations like patients with hypertension.

What to expect in a treatment?

Our unique cupping treatment for insomnia is performed on the back and neck. Clients will be positioned face down, similar to a massage and your electric acupuncturists will perform various cupping techniques on the tissue. Some techniques are with oil, some are done without oil. The treatment is 30 minutes long. If you would like to add powerful acupuncture points to further compound the treatment benefits, please book a 45 min or 60 min follow up.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients sleep exceptionally well the night of treatment. Fire cupping for insomnia is best used for when you are in need of deep restorative sleep or if you have not been sleeping well for a few days. For long term promotion of good sleep, depending on how long you have been have sleep issues, weekly sessions for 3-4 weeks will be needed to see long term improvements.

Are there any cautions or contraindications for fire cupping?

Cupping is generally tolerated quite well by most clients. Performing cupping on open skin , rashes, sunburns is contra indicated. Also, clients with risk of blood clots should be cleared by their MD prior to treatment.

We've seen remarkable results for sleep issues

with fire cupping.

That's why our clients love it.
